Which small business loans are actually fast
Merchant cash advances and working capital loans are the fastest products in the market because they underwrite from bank statements alone and collect by daily or weekly debit. Approval is often the same day; funds arrive the same day or the next morning by ACH. Revenue-based financing for e-commerce and subscription businesses is similar once the platform data is connected. Online lines of credit and term loans take two to seven days because they verify more. Equipment financing approves in a day but waits for the vendor invoice. SBA loans take 30 to 90 days and are never fast.
| Product | Typical amount | Time to fund | Cost (market range) | Minimums |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Merchant cash advance | $5,000 – $500,000 | Same day to 2 business days | Factor rate 1.15 – 1.49 (paid as a fixed amount, not interest) | 6 months in business; 500+ (revenue matters more than score) |
| Working capital loan | $5,000 – $250,000 | 1 – 2 business days | APR roughly 15% – 60%; short-term products may quote a factor rate instead | 6 months in business; 550+ typical |
| Revenue-based financing | $25,000 – $2,000,000 | 2 – 7 business days | Repayment cap of 1.1x – 1.5x the advance | 6 – 12 months in business; Revenue-driven; 550+ typical |
| Business line of credit | $10,000 – $250,000 | 1 – 3 business days to open; draws often same day | APR roughly 10% – 60%; some lenders price as a weekly fee on the drawn balance | 6 – 12 months in business; 600+ typical |
| Business term loan | $10,000 – $500,000 | 1 – 3 business days (online lenders) | APR roughly 8% – 45% depending on credit, revenue and term | 1 – 2 years in business; 600+ typical; 640+ for better pricing |
What fast funding costs
Fast products are priced as a fixed payback rather than interest: a factor of 1.15 to 1.49 on the amount advanced, repaid over 3 to 18 months. On $30,000 at a 1.30 factor over 6 months, the cost is $9,000 and the daily payment about $310. Annualised, that is above 100 percent APR, which is why the same $30,000 as a 24-month term loan at 25 percent costs about $8,300 in total but takes a week and a stronger file.
The cost is justified when the money earns more than it costs within the term: replacing equipment that would otherwise close the business for days, buying inventory at a discount that exceeds the fee, or covering a payroll that keeps a contract alive. It is not justified for a structural shortfall, a long-term investment, or refinancing another advance, where the arithmetic never works.
| Product | Time to fund | Approximate total payback | Payment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Merchant cash advance, 1.30 factor, 6 months | 1 – 2 days | $39,000 | about $310 per business day |
| Working capital loan, 12 months | 1 – 3 days | $37,500 | about $720 per week |
| Online line of credit, 12 months drawn | 2 – 5 days | $34,000 | about $2,830 per month |
| Online term loan, 24 months at 25% APR | 2 – 7 days | $38,300 | about $1,600 per month |
Who qualifies for fast small business loans
Six months in business, a business bank account with roughly $10,000 or more in monthly deposits, and personal credit from about 500 are the usual floors. What matters more than the score is the statement quality: consistent deposits, few negative days, no more than one or two NSFs in ninety days, and no undisclosed advances. Card-heavy businesses such as restaurants, retail and salons qualify most easily because the provider can collect from processing.
A business with an open advance can still qualify, but the new amount is reduced by the existing daily debit and many first-position contracts prohibit stacking. Consolidation into one position is usually the better move, and a funding specialist can tell you quickly whether the file supports it.

How to get funded in 24 to 72 hours
Submit one complete application, not five. Parallel applications create hard inquiries, duplicate questions and UCC searches that show every other provider what you are doing. Answer every question within the hour; the file that moves gets funded. Sign electronically as soon as the contract arrives and after reading the four numbers: deposit, total payback, payment amount, payment frequency. Request a wire if the amount is large and the ACH cutoff has passed.
Then plan the exit. A fast product taken today can be refinanced into a term loan or line of credit in three to six months once the statements support it, which is the difference between paying a premium once and paying it forever.
